Tensuke Express
Casual counter-serve Japanese spot in the Japan Marketplace known for authentic ramen, udon, curry, and gyoza.
About
Tensuke Express is a casual, order-at-the-counter Japanese eatery tucked inside the Japan Marketplace at Kenny Centre, alongside the Tensuke Market grocery and a sushi counter. The menu spans steaming bowls of ramen and udon/soba noodles, Japanese curry, rice plates and bowls, plus small plates like gyoza dumplings, jumbo shumai, chicken karaage, shrimp tempura, and takoyaki. It draws a devoted local following for its authentic, no-frills home-style cooking, with both dine-in and takeout available. A calm, cheerful hidden-gem atmosphere makes it a longtime favorite among Columbus and Upper Arlington diners seeking real Japanese comfort food.
